Loading behavior of [{chitosan/hyaluronic acid}.sub.n] layer-by-layer assembly films toward myoglobin: An electrochemical study
Article Abstract:
The cyclic voltammetric (CV) peak pair of Mb [Fe.sup.III]/[Fe.sup.II] redox couple for [{CS/HA}.sub.n]-Mb (CS = charged chitosan, HA = hyaluronic acid and Mb = myoglobin) films on pyrolytic graphite (PG) electrodes are used to examine the loading behavior of [{CS/HA}.sub.n] films towards Mb. The results have indicated that due to the unique structure of CS and HA, [{CS/HA}.sub.n] films with relatively low charge density are packed more loosely and more easily swelled by water, and have better permeability, which might lead to the higher loading amount and shorter loading time for Mb.

Fabrication of shape-controllable polyanaline micro/nanostructures on organic polymer surfaces: Obtaining spherical particles, wires and ribbons
Article Abstract:
A novel strategy is developed to prepare various micro/nanostructured polyanilines (PANI) on polymer substrates. The poly acrylate acid (PAA) brushes have acted as templates and dopants of PANI and the surface of the polypropylene (PP) films grafted with polyaniline nanowires and nanoribbons have displayed superhydrophobicity with contact angles for water of approximately 145 and 151 [degree], respectively.
